2.1       Purpose
We are afraid that we can’t help you to find interesting cultural events and to use our services to make things happen without some information about you and what you would like to do. We also collect information about your use of our services to make the experience as good and useful as possible. Information about our subscribers use of our product can also be used in statistics, analysis and product improvement. Furthermore may the information be used to provide you with information about our services, including marketing purposes – if accepted by the subscriber.

If you want additional info about what we collect, we go into more detail below.

2.2 Personal data we collect from you
When you create an account in Connect App, you will be asked to provide the following information:

-                First and last name

-                Date of Birth

-                Phone number

-              Email

-                Place of living/position

Your name, email and phone number are collected and processed in order for us to be able to identify and contact you. Upon creating a user with Connect App, the phone number will be used to send you a one-time password. Should you need to restore your password later, we will use your email to do so. Your date of birth is collected to ensure that you fulfill the age requirements to sign up for an account.

Since Connect App is a location-based service, collecting your place of living/position will be necessary to ensure that your Connect- app only displays events in your vicinity. This is however optional.

Depending on how you use Connect, you may decide to provide us with some additional information that we will collect and process. This may include, but is not limited to; university affiliation, age, interests, work, pictures etc.

This is however not required by the application, and is for personal adaptation and use of your account.

2.3 Personal data Connect App receives from other sources

Connect App may receive personal data about you from other individuals, from businesses or third parties acting at your direction, from our partners who work with us to provide our products and services and from other lawful sources.

·       If you sign up through Google or Apple, this will also require you to provide an email address. This may be used to identify and contact you.

·       If you have accepted location services on your device, the app will collect more detailed information about your geographical location.

·       Connect App may collect data about you from other individuals – for example, if that individual has sent you an invitation to participate in an event or shared content with you.

·       You may direct other individuals or third parties to share data with us. For example, you may direct your mobile phone to share data about you with connect app, e.g. your geographical location.

·       Information we receive from you may be validated with our partners for security or confirmation purposes.

2.4 Other data collected when you use Connect App

When we develop an App like Connect App, we put it in an App store and have very little connection with the users. Your relationship is more between Apple, Google and Microsoft (as the vendor of the OS you are using and App store) than it is with us. And so, we find it difficult to know how our mobile applications are performing, beyond the review system on the App stores. It can help us greatly if we know more about how and where people are using Connect App.

Firebase is a tool developed and managed by Google. It communicates with Google servers to both enable online cloud services (such as content delivery) and also compiles information about how a user interacts with an Application and its surrounding services. Firebase works on Android and iOS operating systems. We use it to receive information about how you use Connect App, to help us improve the user experience. Connect App included Firebase functionality commencing february 2023.
